(NBC/RTV) - Matt Damon is raising awareness of the need for clean water -- by not going to the bathroom.
In a tongue-and-cheek video released by Damon's organization Water.org, the Oscar-winning actor says he's not using the bathroom until sanitation is available to everyone.
It's a humorous look at an important issue.
Damon co-founded Water.org, a site dedicated to raising awareness and funding for clean water throughout the world.
In the commercial, Damon says 2.5 billion people don't have access to clean water.
The ad aims to encourage people to donate $25 to Water.org’s campaign.
Damon says for that amount, one person can get clean water for life.
