    HERSHEY, Penn. (NBC/WGAL) - Throwing something on the ice can get you booted from a hockey game.

    But fans were encouraged to throw teddy bears on the ice during a Hershey Bears game in Hershey, Penn., Saturday.

    A record 12,497 stuffed and fluffed bears rained down on the rink and the players.

    The bears go to Hershey Children's Hospital.
