LIMPOPO REGION, South Africa (NBC/APTN) - If crocodiles scare you, it might not be a good time to visit South Africa's Limpopo Region.
Thousands of crocodiles escaped from a farm in the area.
Rising floodwaters across forced the farm's owners to open their gates and free the reptiles. Crocodiles have reportedly been sited across the region.
The farm's owners said up to 2,000 crocodiles had been recaptured and warned people not to approach the animals.
Farm workers worked through the night and into the early hours of Friday morning trying to catch the crocodiles.
The capture operation has been taking place at night because light reflected in the crocodiles' eyes makes them easier to see.
