SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (CNN) - Check out this waterspout in Lake Michigan. It was shot Saturday just off the coast of South Haven, Mich.
The National Weather Service classifies these events, similar to tornadoes, as either fair-weather or tornadic.
The tornadic type are more dangerous and can develop into severe thunderstorms.
And though either can be captivating to watch, the weather service says never move closer to investigate.
