Chinese acrobat survives 200-meter plunge

YUEYANG, China (CNN/CCTV) - According to Chinese state media, an acrobat suffered only minor injuries after a 200-meter fall into a ravine.

Aisi-kaier tried to walk across a tight-rope backwards and while blind-folded. He was wearing no safety harness.

State media say he almost made it, but stumbled about 40 meters from the end.

Rescuers brought him to safety.

Officials say he felt dizzy about 50 minutes into the stunt.

Aisi-kaier is a sixth-generation performer.
