LAS VEGAS (CNN/KLAS) - A Las Vegas hotel is becoming a hot spot, but guests aren't at all happy about it.

Tourists are putting Vdara in the national spotlight because sun rays are burning people lounging poolside.

Apparently, the sun reflects off the hotel's glass onto sections of the pool area..and it's burning guests, even melting plastic bags and cups.

The building's design creates a magnifying-glass effect. The hotel's designers say they placed a film over the glass panes of many of its windows.

But it's not working too well. Now, bigger umbrellas are going up poolside until a permanent solution is found.
