BILOXI, Miss. (CNN/WGNO) - A weekend project restoring the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina has turned into an artist's life work.
Sculptor Marlin Miller transforms dead trees along the Mississippi Gulf Coast into amazing works of art.
Miller says the devastation provided him with his canvas.
It started as a hobby – the carving of dead oak trees on the weekends.
The 52-year-old's goal was to make the Mississippi Coast look beautiful again.
His artwork has also been featured in about a dozen art galleries throughout the coast.
