CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Name: Big Mac
Breed: Labrador Retriever mix
Age: 4 years
Sex: Neutered Male
Date of Surrender: 5/2013
Reason for Surrender and Description:
Big Mac, all 87 pounds of him, is one big love bug. Mac is a 4 year old Lab mix who is all about being with his people. Big Mac is one of those dogs who is very stressed in the kennel environment. Mac will be so much more happy once in a home environment.
Mac would be a great companion for someone who enjoys the great outdoors. He walks beautifully on the leash and stays right by your side. He knows how to do sit, down, come, give paw. Mac would likely do well in a home with another dog. He is eager to meet other dogs and seems to relax and get wiggly with them. Since being at Dakin, Mac has met some small and big dogs and done well. This lovable lug of a boy is afraid of cats - so a cat-free household may be the better match for him.

Weekly Low Cost Vaccination Clinics
Dakin is now offering weekly low-cost vaccination clinics for low income members of the community. The clinics are held every Thursday from 9-10 a.m. and are for dogs and cats. Dogs on leash. Cats in carriers. Limit 40 animals. Healthy animals only. We do not treat sick or injured animals. Not a replacement for a full service veterinarian. For the long term health and wellbeing of your pet, we recommend a full service veterinary hospital or clinic.
