The Comprehensive Breast Program at Noble Hospital is led by Dr. Steven Schonholz, FACS, a highly-regarded Breast Surgeon who is part of a very talented team. The Comprehensive Breast Program at Noble Hospital provides women of all ages with a full range of diagnostic and treatment options for breast-related care. The Program utilizes the latest diagnostic technology and procedures from a single, easy-to-access location. Services include imaging, diagnosis, surgical and nonsurgical treatments, breast reconstruction, and medical oncology.
About Dr. Schonholz:
Steven Schonholz, MD, FACS, is a Breast Surgeon and Director of the Comprehensive Breast Program at Noble Hospital. Dr. Schonholz is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is also certified in Radioactive Seed Localized Breast Surgery, ASBS Ultrasound, and Stereotactic Procedures.
Dr. Schonholz received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University in New York City and his Medical Degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He is fellowship-trained in Endoscopy from Mount Sinai Hospital/Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, and his General Surgery Internship and Residency was at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. He is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, National Consortium of Breast Centers, National Lymphedema Network, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Schonholz has been awarded two Susan G. Komen Grants, given multiple presentations, been published many times, and was awarded an honorary degree from Western New England University in August 2012 for excellence in research, early detection, and treatment of breast cancer. In his position at Noble, Dr. Schonholz focuses on the identification of women who are at a high risk for breast cancer, genetic testing for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer, pre-op and post-operative screening for sub-clinical Lymphedema, and minimally invasive breast surgery.
