CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) - It's gardening season; but, if it's been awhile since you've moved out from under that warm winter blanket you might want to prepare you body so it won't get injured in the garden.
Lydia Irons, a registered massage therapist from The Flexable farmer in Hadley, showed us how to get our bodies moving and ready to garden!
Tips on how to get your body ready for gardening:
- Switch sides when raking
- Kneel carefully. Get down slow and switch up your position often.
- Ease into it! Start with shorter stints working to build up stamina
