WEST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - West Haven police say a motorcyclist has died from injuries in a crash that was caused when he struck the rear of his girlfriend's car and lost control, crashing and hitting the pavement.
Ronald Vece's motorcycle was following a car driven by his girlfriend when both crossed the double yellow lines to pass a vehicle in front of them. The bike that the 24-year-old Vece of Milford was riding struck the car as they were returning to the lane.
Vece was treated at the scene and was declared dead at Yale New Haven Hospital. There were no other injuries
