NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) - A Norwich woman was arrested on prostitution charges for the second time in 24 hours, police said.
On Friday, during a midnight shift, police conducted a prostitution sting in the Greenville section of Norwich.
According to police, a plain clothes officer approached the woman, later identified as 44-year-old Beth Sikorski, on Central Ave. Sikorski was observed by officers loitering in the area attempting to get motorists' attention.
Based on her actions, an undercover officer responded to the area and made an agreement with Sikorski exchanging money for sexual favors including intercourse.
A vehicle stop was conducted in the area of Boswell Ave. and Eleventh St. and Sikorski was arrested.
Sikorksi was also arrested on Thursday during a similar midnight prostitution sting.
Additionally, a second female, identified as 20-year-old Mariah Freehart, was arrested in the area of Broad St. at Boswell Ave. for prostitution.
