HAMDEN, Conn. (NECN) - The body of Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been in Worcester, Massachusetts since Friday and there is still no clear answer as to where this body will eventually be buried.
The story here hasn't changed much in the last three days. Police protection, police barricades, police meetings inside with the funeral director, protesters, but there is no solution.
There could be some resolution in Hamden, Connecticut.
A man by the name of Paul Keane is offering up one of his two remaining family burial plots, but aside from Keane nobody wants the body to be buried there.
"No matter how much of a pariah, no matter how despicable, no matter how much of a leper he is, he's a human being and he deserves a right to be buried just like anybody else," said Keane.
"We don't want a bomber buried in our cemetery," said John Bello, who is opposed to a burial. "He's a terrorist, he shouldn't be in our country."
"This person is not part of a family in this community and has no business being buried here," said Butch Butterworth.
