WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WWLP) - 22News is working for you with a Cone Zone Traffic Alert out of Connecticut for the Monday evening commute.
According to Connecticut State Police Media Relations, Interstate 91 will be closed between Windsor Locks and Hartford during as President Obama's motorcade moves through. The highway closure impacts both the northbound and southbound sides of the highway, and all onramps and offramps.
The President is expected to arrive at Bradley International Airport around 5:00, and will arrive back at the airport before 7:00. The highway will be closed as the motorcade moves south toward the University of Hartford, and re-open to traffic until the President leaves the campus and heads back to the airport, during which time it will be closed again.
Connecticut State Police estimate that the closures will not last long, as the motorcade moves quickly, but commuters should plan ahead.
