BRISTOL, Conn. (WWLP) - A search for evidence in the Aaron Hernandez murder case continues for the third day in a lake in Bristol, Connecticut.
Bristol Police, along with Connecticut State police, and Massachusetts Police are searching for anything connected to the murder of Odin Lloyd, including the murder weapon.
Hernandez, a Bristol native and former New England Patriots player, has been charged with the murder of Odin, whose body was found on June 17th, in an industrial park about a mile from Hernandez's Mass. home. He had been shot five times.
Police are using metal detectors and special sonar equipment, along with special diving teams, to search the lake.
State Police divers are only able to see about an inch in front of them in the murky Pine Lake.
Hernandez had plead not guilty. He is being held in lieu of bond.
