SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (AP) - Two teenagers have died and three others were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in lost control and slammed into a tree.
South Windsor police said Sunday morning that the identities of the crash victims would not be immediately released. The accident was on Saturday night.
Police say all five of the occupants of the vehicle were female between the ages of 15 and 19.
WVIT-TV reports that South Windsor Police Chief Matthew Reed said the two victims who died were from East Windsor and Vernon. Two of the injured were from South Windsor and one from East Windsor.
The injuries sustained were not life-threatening.
Police are investigating and do not believe that rain or slippery conditions were factors.
No other details were immediately available.
