EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) - The owner of an East Haven massage parlor was arrested on promoting prostitution charges Monday.
Police say they executed a search warrant at 9:15 AM at the Tokyo Leisure Club at 214b Main Street and 28 Duncan Street. The warrants resulted from an ongoing joint investigation with North Haven Police relating to prostitution occurring at the massage parlors.
This was the second set of warrants at the locations since June.
Officers seized items related to the alleged crime and $1,500 in cash.
The owner, In Ok Smith, 48, was charged with promoting prostitution from the previous investigation. He was held on $10,000 bond and will appear in court on October 30th.
