WEST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - A 3-year-old found wandering alone in West Haven led police to his home, where they found a man wanted on three felony warrants.
Police tell the New Haven Register that an off-duty officer noticed the boy standing in the middle of Greta Street on Tuesday morning dressed in his pajamas.
Officers asked the boy if he could show them his favorite toys.
The child led police inside a nearby apartment and into a bedroom, where they found his mother and a man.
The mother, 26-year-old Misty Nelson, was charged with risk of injury. Police say the man gave them several names, but was identified as Brandon Stovall of West Haven.
They say he was wanted on warrants from West Haven, New Haven and Stafford, Va.
