NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) - A Norwich woman was arrested during a prostitution sting in the Greenville section of the city Thursday.
Police said the woman has been arrested and convicted for prostitution in the past.
The woman, later identified as Beth Sikorski, was seen by officers loitering in the area trying to gain the attention of passing motorists.
According to police, based on Sikorski's actions an undercover officer was deployed to the area during a midnight shift Thursday. Acting in plain clothes capacity, the officer approached the "known female prostitute" on Central Ave.
An agreement was made between the undercover officer and Sikorsky exchanging money for sexual favors including intercourse, police said.
Sikorsky, 44, of 88 Central Ave., Norwich, was arrested and taken into custody.
