LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Longmeadow police are still looking for the public's help in two unsolved bank robberies in town.
They are looking for the suspects in the March 29 robbery of the Longmeadow Street Hampden Bank branch , and the September 21 robbery of the town's other Hampden Bank branch on Shaker Road .
Police Lieutenant Gary Fontaine told 22News that on March 29, a man came into the Longmeadow Street bank and handed the teller a note reading: "This is a robbery, I have a gun… I will use extreme measures, give me $5,000."
That suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man with a large build, standing between 6'0 and 6'4. During the robbery, he was wearing a glove similar to those worn by food industry workers.
In the second robbery on September 21, the suspect handed the teller a note indicating that he had a gun, no weapon was shown, however.
The suspect in this case was described as a white man standing between 5'6" and 5'8" tall.
