SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Frankie Roche of Westfield, the man who admitted to shooting and killing reputed Springfield mob boss, Adolfo "Big Al" Bruno, was sentenced to nearly 14 years in prison on Friday.
At federal court in Springfield, Roche received a sentence of 165 months in prison for the 2003 killing in Springfield's South End.
Roche pleaded guilty to a federal murder charge in Springfield federal court in April of 2008. He admitted that he pulled the trigger on "Big Al" outside the Mount Carmel Social Club 2003, in exchange for $10,000.
Sentencing was delayed after Roche agreed to testify against other alleged mob members charged in the Bruno hit.
