SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The former head of a Springfield veterans' center will be arraigned in court next month on charges that he stole more than $35,000 from the organization and from federal grants.
Christopher Adam Scott will be arraigned in Hampden Superior Court on April 12.
Scott served as director of the Mason Square Veterans Outreach Center, which closed last year. He is accused of taking $20,000 from the center's bank accounts, and more than half of a $31,000 federal grant designed to make the center on State Street handicapped-accessible.
Scott was indicted by a Hampden County Grand Jury on Tuesday.
