WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Wilbraham police have been busy for the past couple of weeks with an uptick in break-ins.
Police Sgt. Glen Clark told 22News that there have been four or five break-ins to homes and cars recently in the Dipping Hole Road area.
Sgt. Clark said that in most of these cases, residents have left either their home or car doors unlocked. He added that this should serve as another reminder to lock your doors and keep exterior lights on.
Tom Mehlich lives in the neighborhood, and told 22News that he is looking into getting a security system installed. He said that people in the area keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
"We all kind of look out for each other. I go to bed at night if I see his (his neighbor's) garage door open, I'll call and tell him, we thought we were doing everything good.," Mehlich said.
Clark said that residents should always call police if they see anything suspicious in their neighborhood.
