WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - West Springfield Mayor Greg Neffinger signed a host community agreement with representatives from Hard Rock International on Thursday, July 12.
The casino company hopes to build a resort on land owned by the Eastern States Exposition off Memorial Avenue. The agreement with Hard Rock outlines payments to the town and surrounding communities, hiring practices, traffic, public safety, and relationship with area businesses, among other issues.
The agreement now has to be approved by the Town Council before it can be voted on by residents.
