Chicopee, Mass. (WWLP) - The competition for a casino in Western Massachusetts is heating up.
Voters in Springfield passed their casino referendum while West Springfield residents voted NO to a casino in their town. Now, voters in Palmer will make a decision on November 5th as to whether they want to partner with Mohegan Sun for a casino development.
There are some people in Palmer already in favor of it, some against it while others remain undecided.
This week on 22News InFocus we'll talk to a Mohegan Sun representative about their host community agreement. We'll find out what's included in the proposal for taxpayers and how they plan to handle the big issues, like traffic off the Mass Pike.
We'll also talk about any planned events to give residents an opportunity to learn more about the proposal.
Join us Sunday at noon on 22News inFocus.
