Mall owner owes nearly $1M in back taxes

LANESBOROUGH, Mass. (NEWS10) - The biggest shopping center in Berkshire County could soon be forced to close its doors.

According to the Berkshire Eagle, the owner of the Berkshire Mall owes nearly $1 million in taxes and has until the 18th of the month to pay up before the Town of Lanesborough seizes control of the property.

Michael Kohn told the Berkshire Eagle that he plans to have the debt settled by the deadline.
