CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Chicopee police are warning residents of an aggressive panhandler in Chicopee Center.
Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News 45-year-old Jeremy Wood has been arrested three times in the last week-- May 10, 14, and 15-- on charges of aggressive panhandling and disorderly conduct.
Wood was also charged with possession of a Class B drug on May 15.
Wlik said Wood approaches people who are on foot and in their cars, and is extremely aggressive.
Police are advising residents not to give Wood any money, and to call Chicopee police if they see him.
"We understand that people do need assistance, and can be down on their luck, Wilk said. "However, this behavior, which puts others in fear, and caused chaos, is not acceptable."
