Fire at Powdermill Village apartments in Westfield

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Many are without a home Sunday night after a fire at the Powdermill Village apartments in Westfield.

A portion of Union Street in Westfield is still closed after the Westfield Fire Department was called to 126 Union Street Sunday afternoon. 

The West Springfield, Southampton and Holyoke fire departments assisted in putting out the fire. 

It's still unclear just how many families lost their homes and belongings in the fire. 

Western Massachusetts Red Cross is assisting the victims left homeless Saturday night.  No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
