PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Former Pittsfield City Councilor Tricia Farley-Bouvier will be the Democratic Party's nominee to represent the 3rd Berkshire District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
Farley-Bouvier finished with 38% of the vote, defeating Councilor Peter White with 33% and Ryan Scago with 29%.
Farley-Bouvier will face off in the special election October 18 against Republican Mark Jester, who received more than 200 write-in votes on Tuesday (he needed 150 to get on the final ballot). The two will also face independent Pam Malumphy and Mark Miller of the Green Rainbow Party.
The special election was called after Rep. Christoper Speranzo (D-Pittsfield) stepped-down to serve as clerk-magistrate for Pittsfield District Court.
