PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Pittsfield police have made an arrest following a late night stabbing that badly injured one man, but they are still on the lookout for another alleged attacker.
Capt. John Mullin notified 22News that Tony “Chris” Babcock, 25, was arrested at his Pittsfield home Thursday morning.
According to Mullin, the victim, a 28 year-old man, was stabbed multiple times late Wednesday night. A witness told police that two men attacked the victim outside Babcock’s home at 40 Second Street.
The victim was taken to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery. He is currently in intensive care.
Babcock has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
