GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The beer flowed at Taylor's Tavern in Greenfield for a very good cause Sunday.
Bartenders came from all over to see how little beer they could spill sliding the glass across the bar.
But this isn't about bartending skills, it's about the thousands of dollars raised to help Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Franklin County.
Tom Blanchard says, "Because it's a great community service, they need the help and that's what we're doing."
This was the second year the organizers of the Bartenders Shootout had selected Big Brother/Big Sisters as the beneficiary of the shootout.
The agency has been doing its good work in Franklin County for nearly 50 years.
Tom Blanchard of Taylors Tavern also said, every year the event keeps getting bigger and bigger.
And each year the money raised from the beer sliding contest has gone to a deserving agency that helps the quality of life in Franklin County.
