SHELBURNE FALLS, Mass. (WWLP) - Mass. State Police had arrested a man in Deerfield for the possession of heroin with intent to distribute on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the State Police, around 1:50pm Tuesday, 31 year old Robert Brown of Springfield, Vermont, was arrested after speeding on Interstate 91, driving a 2002 Jaguar XTY, in Deerfield with an expired license.
Brown was transported to the State Police Barracks in Shelburne Falls to begin the booking process.
Trooper Sean Kenney located $614 cash and four individually packaged wax baggies containing a substance consistent with heroin on Brown during booking.
He is held pending bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Greenfield District Court.
Brown was charged with:
1. Speeding 90-17A
2. Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 90-10A
3. Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Class "A" Substance 94C-32C
