GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Easy Street Nightclub in Greenfield will remain closed through the holidays after its co-owner was arrested for selling cocaine at the bar.
The Greenfield Board of License Commissioners suspended the downtown bar's liquor license for ten days.
Ivan Tristan was arrested in November for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
He is no longer involved with the bar, but the board argued co-owner Ananda Larson was responsible even if she didn't know illegal activity was happening.
William Allen, the license board chairmen, told 22News, "What we're trying to do is show I guess that there was illegal activity going on there. Case law says that she's responsible, she's the manager."
The decision can be appealed, but Larson and her attorney said they have no plans to fight the suspension.
