SUNDERLAND, Mass (WWLP) - The town of Sunderland had a ballot question that failed by just 7 votes.
At the bottom of the town election ballot there was this question
Shall the town of Sunderland be allowed to assess an additional $75,000 in real estate taxes to set aside money for unforeseen needs that the Town may have? Voters said no but by a very slim margin. One voter feels like he definitely missed an opportunity.
"I regret not going, I should have gone. You know I always like to vote on whatever's happening in town and wherever else," said Sunderland resident Avery Keimig.
There were 545 registered voters that voted in the Sunderland town election this year, but there are 2,310 total registered voters that live in town.
