WALES, Mass. (WWLP) - A 23 year-old man was the victim of a possible hit-and-run crash in the eastern Hampden County town of Wales Tuesday morning.
According to a news release from Hampden County District Attorney Mark Mastroianni, Cory Cane of Worcester found on the side of Route 19 just before 5:00 A.M. He was taken by ambulance to Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, but did not survive.
An investigation into the incident has indicated that Cane may have been hit by some sort of motor vehicle, and police are currently trying to identify the vehicle involved. The accident is estimated to have happened between 1:30 and 4:48 A.M.

The investigation following the discovery of Cane had caused traffic to be diverted off Route 19 for about six hours.
