SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - There's a strong say 'YES' to Springfield campaign underway in the city in support of MGM's casino proposal, but a strong faith based coalition of churches kicked their anti-casino campaign into high gear on Saturday.
The Coalition of Ministers of Western Massachusetts is a group made up of 15 local churches across greater Springfield.
They took the streets earlier on Saturday with banners and signs trying to get their message across.
On Sunday the protesters take their campaign to the Riverfront on State Street and Columbus Ave.
They plan to gather under the I-91 bridge in opposition to MGM's casino plan.
Voters head to the polls in just a few days, on Tuesday, July 16th.
