SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - On Wednesday night, ' Boston Strong' theme carried over into Springfield. Bruins fans packed into Samuel's Sports Bar at the Basketball Hall of Fame .
They came to see if the Bruins could pull off a win, to be just one win away from bringing the Stanley Cup back to the city.
22News talked to one man who lives in Boston, but came to Springfield to watch the game with friends.
James Garveysaid a championship win would be just what the city needs. "I mean it would mean everything to the residents of Boston. It's really been a struggle out there. Everybody has been down in the dumps about everything that has happened, so it would be huge. People would be ecstatic."
"It would mean a lot to the city. Everybody goes around the team and tries to root for them. It would be nice to have another championship after they won in 2011. And the Boston Strong theme would make it so much better," said Hayden Ziebel-Lipitz of East Longmeadow.
This year's theme of 'Boston Strong' caught on following the terror attacks at the Boston Marathon.
