SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - The owners of the Dockside Restaurant at Brunelle's Marina in South Hadley say they will rebuild after a fire destroyed the building.
Brunelle's Marina co-owner Luke Brunelle Jr. had to watch as his family business was burning down. No one was inside when the fire started around 6:30 Friday morning in the ceiling and quickly spread. It took firefighters about an hour to get the fire under control.
No one was hurt, and none of the boats were damaged.
However, the fire marks yet another hardship for the business owners who have struggled all season with higher than normal river levels.
Brunelle told 22News, "It has been a tough summer. 2013 is a tough year. This will pass and we'll move on. We're not quitting. We'll setup and we'll be back in business in a couple of days."
Brunelle said they may work out of a tent until they can rebuild.
