SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Civil Air Patrol did its share on Saturday to brighten the holiday season at the Springfield Shriners hospital.
The C.A.P. collected toys in front of the K-mart at the Springfield shopping plaza.
Shoppers donated an estimated two hundred toys for children who'll be spending their holiday in hospital bed.
"We've been doing very well, this is our third year and each year we've filled our van. We've filled it completely with toys, huge donations," 1st. Lt. Joseph Goodreau told 22News.
The toy drive will also help the Springfield Ronald McDonald house, the home away from home for the parents of young Shriners hospital patients.
