CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - The Davitt Bridge project in Chicopee is close to one year ahead of schedule.
Shawn Clark, project manager for Northern Construction told 22News the bridge is 291 days ahead of schedule. That means the two year project, expected to be completed in May of 2014, could be finished this summer. Clark says that obstacles like a long winter could set the timeframe back.
The bridge connects Chicopee Street, Granby Road and Route 116 to Chicopee Center. It has been closed since May.
