HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Generations of Springfield area children have shared the tradition of the Easter Egg Hunt.
This was the time honored tradition at Heritage Park in Holyoke and in just about every community here in the Pioneer Valley.
Parents shared with their children the tradition they also enjoyed when they were this age.
"I grew up in Holyoke and we just moved back a couple of years ago from Texas. It's our first year here, we're excited that Holyoke does things like this," said Holyoke parent Sherry Mayer.
"Yeah, it was a good time. It's a good tradition to start, so he had a good time. He's confused by all the excitement. It was great, we had a good time," said Springfield parent Marjory Moore.
You could attend Easter Egg Hunts almost anywhere in Western Massachusetts Saturday. Cities and towns sponsored them and so did churches and grass roots organizations.
