SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Economic Development Council of Western Mass is urging Springfield voters to say yes to a casino.
The council says that the agreement between MGM and Springfield may provide an economic boost to the region.
They say the host community agreement should be thoroughly vetted by the state Gaming Commission.
City residents will voice that opinion during a July 16th referendum vote.
A poll of 600 voters recently conducted by our 22News iteam found that 49% planned on voting yes and 35% said they would vote no. 16% said they were still undecided.
