SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Springfield residents are back in their apartment building on Plainfield Street after briefly being evacuated around 5 o'clock because of a carbon monoxide leak.
Springfield Deputy Fire Chief Glenn Guyer told 22News that evacuating the residents was only a precaution. Deputy Guyer believes the gas was coming from a furnace.
No one got sick, and the gas company came to fix the leak.
