The casino developer announced a total of $125,000 in personal donations to the library's " WestSide Story Campaign," which aims to expand and renovate the library.
Library Director Antonia Golinski-Foisy told 22News what they are planning to do.
"We're going to retain the 1916 Carnegie building, we will tear down the '58 and '78 additions, we will add a one-story connector, and then a two-story full-size library," she said.
Golinski-Foisy explained that they look to raise $2.5 million, with the total cost of the renovation project being about $13.4 million.
"We received a $6.2 million grant. Now, part of the conditions of the grant is that the town has to show support of the changes that are going to take place," she said.
