AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) - Many Agawam residents are still concerned if a casino comes to West Springfield, they'll have to deal with constant bumper-to-bumper traffic.
So on Wednesday dozens of people met with Hard Rock representatives.
Hard Rock CEO Jim Allen said they will work with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to improve the bridge that connects Agawam and West Springfield near the Big E and they will build a secondary entrance, instead of only relying on Memorial Avenue.
Residents told 22News they aren't sure if that will fix everything. Lisa Garcia of Agawam said, "For the past 20 years, coming over the South End Bridge has been a nightmare. Coming to and from work and all the construction that's been going on. I'm just having terrible fear that it's going to increase traffic.
