WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Hard Rock International has submitted its draft for a Casino Host Agreement to West Springfield city leaders.
More than one hundred people attended a community open house hosted by Hard Rock Tuesday night at the Memorial School. The hopeful casino developer took questions as they outlined their proposal for a resort casino on the grounds of the Big E .
It is up to the city now as to when they will put their plan before voters.
Jim Allen, the Chairman of Hard Rock International said, "They certainly know what's in the best interests of the residents of West Springfield. We would be prepared to take a vote some time towards the end of June so really any where from the end of June all the way through the Fall will be fine with us."
Allen said he hopes to hear from the Mayor's office in the next two to three weeks.
