WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (AAA) - AAA Pioneer Valley will host their very first Electric Vehicle Education event while unveiling their new EV Charging Station and Tire Refill Station.
The event will be held Saturday, October 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the AAA West Springfield office at 150 Capital Drive.
EV experts will be onsite to answer questions about electric vehicles as well as new technology designed to improve fuel economy and lower vehicle emissions such as Start-Stop systems.
“Technology is ever changing in the automotive industry and this can often lead to confusion among consumers. This event is designed to pull together experts and resources to assist the driving community in better understanding options and technological advancements.” said Sandra J. Marsian, AAA Vice President of Membership, Marketing & Public Relations.
AAA Automotive Vice President Joe Ferraro also noted, “Fuel economy can be improved in a variety of ways. Electric Vehicles are certainly a viable option, but regular vehicle maintenance, proper tire pressure and safe driving techniques can also markedly reduce your fuel costs.”

Central Chevrolet, Jerry Rome Nissan and Sarat Ford will be onsite with several electric vehicles currently on the market such as the Chevy Volt, Ford C- Max Hybrid, Ford Fusion Electric, Ford Fusion Hybrid, Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, Nissan Leaf and more.
Hertz Car Rental will be onsite to share green options available for rental. Other onsite experts include Go Space, Excel Tire and Club Assist.
