SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WWLP) - A wounded, bleeding Springfield stabbing victim found sanctuary in a neighborhood McDonald’s early Sunday morning.
22News has been gathering information about the knife attack on the 42-year-old man who lives in the city's East Forest Park neighborhood.
Springfield Police Lt. Henry Gagnon told 22News, employees at McDonald's on Allen Street near the Talmadge Elementary School called for help after the victim staggered into the restaurant about two thirty Sunday morning.
Lt. Gagnon said the stabbing victim told them he had been attacked by a several men wearing dark clothing on Allen Park Road. That's just a few streets from where the victim found help.
He was treated at Baystate Medical Center. His wound wasn't severe.
