SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The victim of Springfield's ninth homicide of the year has been identified as a 19 year-old city resident.
Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney told 22News that Christian Graves was found by police around 11:15 Saturday night in front of 110 Woodside Terrace, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police gave him first aid and an ambulance was called, Graves had died before he could be taken away by EMTs.
Delaney says that police had searched the whole neighborhood, and collected evidence from the street.

Delaney did not provide any information about a possible motive for the shooting, but noted that Graves had a "long history" with the Springfield police.
A streetside memorial has been set-up on Woodside Terrace in Graves' memory.
