SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Representatives from Mohegan Sun were in Springfield Thursday night, to hold to a ‘community conversation' about their Palmer project.
Mohegan Gaming Advisor Pete Schultz told 22News it's a chance to take their Palmer office out to the people. They want people across Western Massachusetts to know how the Palmer project could benefit them.
"We're out in Palmer but Springfield is going to be a significant resource in terms of workforce," said Schultz. "Our approach is region. Springfield, surrounding towns. There's going to be enough jobs to go around for quite a bit."
The events also give small business owners a chance to learn about potential opportunities of working with the casino.
